Kazegama Porcelain Mini Slip Bowl - Fundraiser

$40.00
sold out

Product Details:

  • Special Kazegama Kiln Firing: This porcelain pot was fired in a special Kazegama kiln, one of only three in existence in the United States. The exterior of the piece is left unglazed, and wood and soda ash are blown into the kiln’s ports at peak temperature and melt onto the surface of the pot in completely unpredictable ways. This process creates a beautiful, organic, one-of-a-kind finish on each pot.

  • Artisan Crafted: Each pot is meticulously crafted by hand, and the final result reflects the beauty and spontaneity of the Kazegama firing process.

  • Size: Approximately 2.75” w x 2” h

  • Durable & Functional: Microwave and dishwasher safe for everyday use, making it as practical as it is beautiful.

  • Support the Artist: These fundraiser pieces were salvaged from my studio after Hurricane Helene and miraculously avoided flood water and mud. They are priced higher than retail to directly support my recovery and the rebuilding of my ceramics business.

Important Notes:

  • Minor fissure: There is a slight fissure on the bottom of the bowl along the signature. It does not protrude into the interior of the bowl, and does not affect the durability of the piece.

  • Shipping Included: The price includes standard shipping within the U.S. only. However, if your order exceeds the built-in shipping costs, additional shipping charges may be required.

  • Holiday Shipping: To receive your item before the holidays, please place your order by December 15th.

  • Shipping Timeline: Orders will begin shipping on December 16th

  • Final Sale: All fundraiser pots are considered final sale and are not eligible for a refund.

By purchasing this fundraiser item, you're not only getting a unique, handmade piece, you are directly helping me rebuild my small business and continue my creative work. Thank you for your support during this challenging time!
